Sweet Little Quilt Made the Perfect Birthday Present

As the kids get older I try to make quilts for them from time to time vs. just buying whatever the latest trend is.

My hope is they will keep the quilts forever and maybe even use them for their own little ones or families later on.

This one used many different colors and was a really simple and easy pattern; perfect for beginners!

My daughter loved the quilt and it was a great birthday present for her.

Happy Quilting, everyone!

Birthday and 4th of July Quilt

My mother in law loves Americana. She has not been feeling well and has been battling colon cancer. I made this quilt to help cheer her up and let her know I was thinking about her.

Happy Quilting, everyone!

Summer Time!

Who’s ready for a picnic and glass of lemonade? This quilt just screams summer time to me. It’s a twist on the classic red, whit and blue and utilizes more or a coral red instead of bright red, and boy does it work! The large throw quilt kit is from Quilt101, and as always, it came together pretty easily and everything about this quilt just beautiful. The new owner loves it as much as I do.

Happy Quilting, everyone!

Super Mario!

My son LOVED his Super Mario quilt. Made this one for his birthday. Quilt kit from Quilt101.

Birthday Present for My December Baby

Well, he’s not a baby, but he will always be my baby! It’s always hard to figure out what to get your kid when their birthday is a week before Christmas. Funny enough, my son’s birthday is the week before Christmas and my daughter’s birthday is the week after Christmas.

When in doubt for a gift for a grown child, a handmade quilt is always a great choice.

No pattern for this one, and used material I already had on hand. I hand quilted this one and love the way this large quilted throw turned out.
