Prairie Tracks Heirloom in Baby Girl Colors

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

After the mad rush of making all the Holiday things, and honestly, just getting past the holidays, it was nice to switch gears and focus on this sweet little cozy quilt at the start of the new year.

I am so happy with how this one turned out and the colors I used – simply gorgeous. This one would be a perfect baby shower gift for a girl.

The colors of this one are shades of pink, cream, grey, navy, purple and other colors. This one finished at 57 x76 inches.

Happy Quilting, everyone!

Sweet Rag Doll Heading Out of the Shop!

These rag dolls are so much fun to make. They remind me of the rag doll I had as a kid growing up in the 70’s.

I knit the hats and make the dolls from “scratch” when the order is placed. The dresses are usually made from left over fabric in the shop.

I am sure the new owner will love her classic rag doll for a very long time, and maybe even hand it down to her own kiddo later in life!

Happy Sewing, everyone!

PeetiePie Donates to Haven House

PeetiePie was happy to donate and help out this local charity. To learn more about them or to make a donation visit Haven House.

Haven House is a 30-day emergency shelter which can house 40 to 50 residents. It provides for both privacy and socialization, with trained staff available to help guide residents through the process of finding legal protection and moving to safer permanent housing.

Adults who come to the shelter alone are housed in a double room and share a community bathroom facility, similar to a college dormitory. Adults with children are housed in an individual family room with a private bath. There are six double rooms and nine family rooms.

Haven House has a playroom for younger children, a lounge for teens, a community living room, and a large, modern kitchen with several cooking areas. There are also two spacious laundry rooms for residents to use.

PeetiePie Donates to Street Paws

We made a donation to a wonderful cause, Street Paws. My friend has been a very involved volunteer with Street Paws for years and I hear about their great work often. We were happy to be able to help this great charity.

Their Mission: To ensure that homeless animals are provided food, medical attention, and love until a suitable forever home is found. For ferals, this may include supporting them in their original environment through our special care initiative. In addition, they also focus on spay/neuter and vaccination efforts that include educational programs for our communities to ensure their pets do not become another homeless statistic.

Merry Little Christmas Quilted Throw

I would be lying if I said I enjoyed making this one one…..I did not! Well, that is not entirely true. Cutting out all of the pieces and making the blocks was not hard, but man did the assembly of the quilt top break my brain! I do love the colors of the fabrics and it’s a good snuggle size. Keeping this one for my own personal stash.

Happy Quilting, everyone!
