Doing our Part to Keep the Kiddos Reading!

PeetiePie has donated to the organization many times over the years. They are based in Athens, GA and that’s where I began my very own reading journey at Chase Street Elementary way back in the 70’s, so I always want to give back to this great charity that supports kids in my old stomping grounds.

Christmas Presents for A Friend’s House

PeetiePie was happy to help out a local children’s charity in our back yard, A Friend’s House.

We’ve made donations to this charity before, but this time we were able to buy several items on their Amazon Holiday Wish List. We love doing our part to help others and hope our purchases will make their Christmas merry and bright!

Visit A Friend’s House to learn more about what they do, to make a donation or find out how you can make can contribute.

PeetiePie Donates to Street Paws

We made a donation to a wonderful cause, Street Paws. My friend has been a very involved volunteer with Street Paws for years and I hear about their great work often. We were happy to be able to help this great charity.

Their Mission: To ensure that homeless animals are provided food, medical attention, and love until a suitable forever home is found. For ferals, this may include supporting them in their original environment through our special care initiative. In addition, they also focus on spay/neuter and vaccination efforts that include educational programs for our communities to ensure their pets do not become another homeless statistic.

Merry and Bright – Quilting with a purpose!

PeetiePie loves to help out our community, and when it involves quilting, everyone wins! We partnered with our favorite local book store, Story on the Square, to raffle off a quilt during the holiday season to raise money for “Helping in His Ministries Name Food Bank”. We raised over $650 for a great cause and the lucky winner got to snuggle up with a locally made quilt.

Nicholas House – PeetiePie Feeds Homeless Families

On Tuesday, February 21st, PeetiePie donated meals to feed 50+ homeless family members at the Nicholas House in Atlanta, GA. The menu included BBQ chicken sandwiches (from Williamson Bro’s BBQ), mac-n-cheese, green beans, baked beans, slaw, mashed taters, tea, pink lemondade, cookies, brownies and cupcakes – YUMMY!

This was an excellent way for PeetiePie to give back to local community with money made from the purchase of our items.

The Nicholas House helps homeless families achieve self-sufficiency by providing a temporary place to live while identifying and addressing the root causes of their homelessness so they never become homeless again.
