PeetiePie loves to help out our community, and when it involves quilting, everyone wins! We partnered with our favorite local book store, Story on the Square, to raffle off a quilt during the holiday season to raise money for “Helping in His Ministries Name Food Bank”. We raised over $650 for a great cause and the lucky winner got to snuggle up with a locally made quilt.

My first time making a quilt from a kit from ACraftyFox. The colors are amazing in this twin sized quilt. As soon as I finished binding this one my youngest daughter claimed it. And can you blame her? 🙂

Although it is October and I should be making all things Halloween, I took a break from the spooky stuff and turned my attention to a rustic valentine’s sort of quilt.
I love everything about this one and will be keeping this joker for myself!

I used the flying geese quilt kit from Quilt101 to make my 1st ever “flying geese” quilt. The instructions were super easy to follow. Although my points are not all 100% perfect, I think it was pretty good for my 1st attempt.
Stella also approves of the Flying Geese quilted large throw and pretty much claimed this one the minute it was finished.
As the kids get older I try to make quilts for them from time to time vs. just buying whatever the latest trend is.
My hope is they will keep the quilts forever and maybe even use them for their own little ones or families later on.
This one used many different colors and was a really simple and easy pattern; perfect for beginners!
My daughter loved the quilt and it was a great birthday present for her.
