2012 Oakhurst Arts & Music Festival – We’re in!

Come out and see us at the 2012 Oakhurst Arts & Music Festival on October 13th.  We are so excited to be a part of this festival.  We will have the following for sale at the festival:

  1. Rag Dolls (various price points)
  2. Stuffed Animals
  3. Doll beds / Bedding
  4. Newborn Photography Props
  5. Knitted and Upcycled Hats for the kiddos

As always, profits go to charity.  In addition, 25% of all profits will go to “Team Spanky” from September through November 2012.  What a great way to buy a unique handmade gift for someone and help out some great charities at the same time.

Hope to see you (and your wallets!) there.  🙂

Charity Navigator

A great way to find charities in your community………..

Over the past 10 years, Charity Navigator’s free charity ratings have enabled millions of donors to access relevant information before they make a donation — giving them the peace of mind they desire. As we celebrate this momentous occasion, it is our birthday wish to double the number of charities we rate and expand the information we provide on each charity. Help us make this ambitious wish — to rate 10,000 charities on a 3-dimensional rating system —- a reality by making a contribution.

PeetiePie donates to The Atlanta Community Food Bank

We are happy to be able to provide The Atlanta Community Food Bank with a monetary donation from PeetiePie.

The ACFB supports a wide range of people in need, from children to the working poor. Food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers are among the agencies that receive product from the Food Bank and provide food and other critical resources for low-income Georgians who suffer from hunger and food insecurity. The Food Bank also operates several community projects to aid our agencies in community building, technical assistance and advocacy efforts.

The Food Bank began as an emergency food provider in the basement of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in downtown Atlanta. Today the organization has become a fixture in the community with 129,600 square feet of warehouse space, distributing more than 20 million pounds of food each year.

Be sure to visit ACFB to find out how you can assist this great charity with your time or a tax deductible donation.

Remember, there is always a way to help your community.

Sean and Steph Harp Recognized by CA Technologies!!

OMG!!  Must admit it is kind of exciting to see yourselves recognized as a “community hero” on your company’s corporate intranet site.  While Sean and I do quite a bit of work to make good things happen for folks in need, CA Technologies (and its 13,000+ plus employees) is just as equally awesome.  Why is that you ask?  Well, let me tell you…….there is a matching donations initiative at CA to match the donations made by their employees for the charities they have chosen based on certain guidelines.  So when we make a monetary donation, most times it is also matched by CA Technologies which is a double win for the charity! Just one of the many reasons why Sean and I LOVE working for CA Technologies. 🙂
